About the Mountain:
Founded in 1937 on Mount Mansfield in Vermont, Stowe is one of the premier skiing destinations in the East, known for its challenging frontside terrain and epic backcountry lines. It is also known as a mountain of "firsts" that includes the first ski patrol in the US, the first double chair in the US, the first 4-person gondola in the East, and the fastest 8-person gondola in the world when it went into service in 1991. Today, Stowe offers nearly 500 acres of trails across Mount Mansfield and Spruce Peak and is renowned for its picturesque town center, restaurants, and more.
