About the Mountain:
Steeped in history, people have been sliding around Chamonix on wooden planks since the late 1800's. In the early 1900s, due to the growing popularity of skiing and skating, the Alpine Sports Club was founded, and Chamonix rapidly became a hub of international skiing, hosting the second international skiing competition in 1908 and the first Winter Olympic Games in 1924. Today, skiers and riders can enjoy nearly 30,000 acres of terrain across five distinct areas in some of the most stunning views in Western Europe.
